The platform will be a very modern solution-type system-on-chip, carried out in 32-nm process technology. It was reported earlier that will support 64-bit software and system memory up to 8 GB on a single panel. CPU clock speed is 1.6 GHz. Against the backdrop of a series of previous decisions of the Intel Atom new chips will be more energy efficient, peaks of heat will be from 5 to 8 watts. Centerton platform should be provided by Intel in the spring of 2012. It is assumed that such a revision of the strategy was a reaction to weak sales of current-generation Cedar Trail Intel Atom processor models N2600 and N2800.
