ZTE FDD-CDMA dual-mode dual-core smartphone,
V2 dual-band smart terminal, 2 tablets on display

ZTE Corporation (“ZTE”) (H share stock code: 0763.HK / A share stock code: 000063.SZ), a publicly-listed global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions, has begun displaying several of its LTE terminals at the PT/EXPO COMM China 2011in Beijing, a leading next-generation communications technology conference running from Sept. 26 to 30.

The ZTE display features the first global FDD-CDMA dual-mode dual-core smartphone, a yet-to-be released product. It has a 1.2G dual-core processor, operates Android 2.3 and can support 4G and 3G networks, FDD-LTE and CDMA-EVDO simultaneously. It also supports use of a 4GB SD card and has a 1780mAh high-capacity battery.

The ZTE display also features the first global TD-LTE/TD-SCDMA/GSM multi-mode dual standby smart terminal, the ZTE V2 TD-LTE smartphone, which made its debut at the Universiade 2011 Shenzen games. The product has a 4.1-inch capacitive touch panel, operates Android 2.3 and supports multi-mode high speed wireless broadband. It also offers high-speed internet access, auto-roaming on TD-LTE, TD-SCDMA and GSM, and auto-selects the fastest available user connection speed from multiple platforms.

In addition, two ZTE LTE tablet PCs appear in the exhibition, the V66 and V68. Both products support LTE CDMA/EVDO internet, and have 7- and 10-inch high-resolution capacitive touch panels respectively. The tablets utilize a 1.2GHz dual core processor, and run on the Android 3.2 operating system, offering a powerful visual experience and providing users with portable high-speed internet access.

The ZTE LTE products on display at the expo are demonstrative of the company’s advantage in the terminal field. From 2008 to the end of 2010, more than 4000 ZTE personnel participated in the company’s LTE research and development, applying for over 2900 patents. Further, ZTE acquired the sole HiG3 commercial contract with Sweden Hutchison Whampoa for its TD-LTE multi-mode wireless broad band router, the ZTE MF28G. This made the product the first globally commercialized TD-LTE multi-mode wireless broadband router.

Apart from its LTE terminals, ZTE’s entire smart terminal product line is on display at the expo, including its first Windows Phone, the ZTE Tania and the flagship Blade and Skate smartphones. ZTE also is showcasing several 3G application technologies and service modes at the expo, highlighting its developments in interoperability.
