We will give you our thoughts on the Motorola Krave ZN4 now before we tell you a little more about the handset, the Verizon Motorola Krave ZN4 is a stunning little flip phone and there are no embarrassments in carrying this down the street, but there are good and bad points.

The good points is that you can reenact Star Trek anytime you like with this similar looking mobile communicator, the flip part on the front is made from see through plastic which does look pretty cool. The high-resolution screen is pretty good and the battery life is awesome, oh and not forgetting Verizon's V Cast Mobile TV.

The bad points has to be the software, it is pretty bland when you consider the smartphones on the market today. It is so easy to start the TV function when the flip cover is closed, the camera could have been better as well.

The touchscreen can be accessed when the flipcover is opened or closed which is nifty, but this does bring problems.

The main features include: Innovative touch screen with interactive clear flip, Visual Voice Mail, MP3 player with 3.5mm headset jack, 2.0 mega-pixel camera, Virtual keypad, Touch screen, Virtual QWERTY keyboard, Haptic feedback, Stereo Bluetooth wireless capable, 8GB microSD optional memory, Video capture & playback, Stereo Bluetooth Wireless Technology and VZ Navigator capable .

What is in the box when I receive the Motorola Krave ZN4? You will get the Motorola Krave™ ZN4 phone, Battery, Charger, Battery Door and User Manual.

Spb Software, which we know for their range of mobile apps for Windows Mobile platform, has announced that they have scored a deal with Sony Ericsson to develop a UI panel for the Xperia X1 smartphone.

As part of the strategic partnership between Sony Ericsson and Spb Software, Spb has put forth a top-notch, Spb Mobile Shell-based solution that compliments the X1 in both style and speed. Taking advantage of the smartphone's unique panel technology, impressive hardware and dynamic wide VGA touchscreen, this custom version of Spb Mobile Shell is optimized for the new Xperia, and comes with all X1 devices as a free download.

Being a great fan of Spb Mobile Shell, I can't wait to try out their latest product on Xperia X1. I'm sure it will work great, just as it works on any other Windows Mobile smartphone…

The T-Mobile G1 has landed on UK shores and is now in stock at Mobiles.co.uk, part of The Carphone Warehouse! The HTC developed phone has caused quite a stir in the mobile phone industry as it is the first phone to run on the Android operating system supported by Google. Affectionately known as the Google phone and G-Phone before its official announcement earlier in the year (this phone has been working the rumour mills for quite some time now), the G1 follows in the footsteps of the iPhone as a touchscreen device that is much more than just a phone…
The T-Mobile G1 (originally codenamed the HTC Dream) is a touchscreen phone with a trick up its sleeve; a full QWERTY keyboard which slides out when the phone is held horizontally and tucks back in nicely when you just want to use the touchscreen. The features that you’ll no doubt be accustomed to in a mobile phone by now include HSDPA and Wi-Fi, GPS connectivity with support for Google maps, a 3.2 Megapixel camera and Bluetooth. What helps the G1 to stand out in an ever more crowded market are two things; its Android operating system and the Android Market. The Android operating system allows is an open source platform, similar to the likes of Symbian and OSX, which is very easy to develop for meaning there should be no shortage of third party applications. And this is where the second factor comes in to play. The Android Market is an online store that allows you to download free and paid content directly to your G1. Set to become an extensive catalogue of applications, games and much more. Already available to download is the innovative Androidscan which lets you scan the barcode of a product in a shop then searches online for a better price and gives you a full comparison with the option to click through and buy, CallACab works with GPS to find your nearest taxi firm, tells you your current location and then lets you call through and book the cab, and, Cooking Capsules which is an interactive cooking tutorial gives you recipes and takes you through the cooking process step by step.

And this is just the beginning, the Android Market is set to become ever more popular as developers think of innovative and exciting new ways to utilise the Android platform. Click here to check out available offers, order your G1 now and experience first hand, the power of the Google phone!

Want a QWERTY-enabled device that looks cool but isn't under the BlackBerry brand name? Well, the HTC Touch Pro is definitely one such handset that comes to mind and will be launched by Bell on November 14.

Price plans for the HTC Touch Pro are as follows: $399.95 for a 3-year plan, $499.95 for 2-years, $549.95 for a single year, and a hefty $599.95 contract-free. Not quite a practical alternative considering that Best Buy Mobile is offering the hot BlackBerry Bold at a ridiculous $199.99 on a 3-yr contract with Rogers.

If Best Buy Mobile or even Bell puts the HTC Touch Pro up for grabs at a reduced price, say around $100 off, then it might be a little bit more enticing, but for now, its price is a bit too steep to sneak it into my Christmas shopping list.

How about you guys? Is the $399.95 price good enough for you to get the HTC Touch Pro or is it a bit too pricey for you as well?

The Motorola-Ferrari partnership wasn't at all what I expected especially when such a well known Italian brand was used to name a very lack luster and unimpressive phone. However, put the Vertu name in place of Motorola and you know you'll be getting one luxurious phone that's definitely worthy of the Ferrari name.

The new Ascent Ti collection will be lovechild of this new tandem and will feature one limited edition phone, the Nero, and two special edition models, the Rosso and Giallo. The Nero will be made of titanium, crystal sapphire pillows and coated with scratch-proof PVD. The two special edition phones will slightly be less extravagant with just the keyboard and battery cover being PVD-coated, and featuring ceramic pillows instead of crystal sapphire.

Specs of this new line are, as expected, not that impressive. Quad-band GSM/EDGE, WCDMA 2100MHz, Bluetooth, 3-megapixel camera with autofocus and flash, 4GB internal memory and Ferrari-inspired themes and ringtones are standard across the board. No Wi-Fi or 3G, but hey, it does the most basic functions of a phone and looks quite good while doing it so that should be reason enough for you not to complain that much.

No word though on when and how much this new phones will retail for, but as Vertu phones go, expect it to cost an arm and a leg. Only 2,009 limited-edition Neros will be produced so if you've got the dough to buy one, it doesn't get anymore exclusive than this.

Again and again we see super-cool phones coming from the Land of the rising Sun. Why handset makers don't bring those babies to the western hemisphere is beyond me. I'm sure many IntoMobile readers share our passion for high-end phones, jam-packed with all the latest technologies. Anyway, let's briefly introduce KDDI's latest collection…

First comes the Hitachi Wooo W63H and Casio Exilim W63CA (we've seen this one passing the FCC hurdle, BTW). Both devices come with 3.1-inch OLED screens that KDDI wants to be used for watching full-length movies downloaded through their Lismo Video service. The Casio Exilim also boasts an 8.1 megapixel camera.

Then there's Sharp Aquos with its super hi-res 3.5-inch screen that makes mobile TV actually usable. We've already talked about this model and we love it!

Sony Ericcson on its end has a fashion phone for the collection, allowing users to change plates and personalize the device to their needs. At the moment, James Bond and Fifa World Cup plates are among the choices available.

The Toshiba W65T is also a respectable device, sporting Lismo Video support, wireless music option and a built-in GPS.

Finally, three last phones we'll mention — Kyocera W65K, Sony Ericsson W64S and Panasonic W62P — are more simplistic phones for the fashion savvy users.

With an exception of last three mentioned devices, all KDDI phones come with the "au BOX" connectivity. Plus, all handsets (three fashion phones included) have "Karada Manager" pre-installed, which is a mobile personal trainer app that should keep the respective owners in shape on-the-go.

Just as we expected, Motorola's kick-ass cameraphone is hitting the T-Mobile's portfolio. The 5 megapixel camera with Xenon flash equipped MOTOZINE ZN5 is now available for $99 on a contract. With this announcement, T-Mobile has become the first North American mobile operator to carry Moto's flagship device.

Rest of the specs are known as well and include WiFi connectivity, Bluetooth, memory card slot, TV out, and KODAK Imaging Technology that should ensure high quality photos.

The MOTOZINE ZN5 will hit "select" T-Mobile stores and website later in a day. As I'm writing this, I couldn't find it on T-Mobile's website.

The improved Samsung Omnia isn't a Japanese thing any more. The Korean electronics giant is bringing the same device to the home market under the name "T*Omnia."

As with the Japanese version, this Omnia will also come with a better 3.3-inch WVGA (480×800 pixels) touchscreen and a mobile TV receiver. However, for the Korean market it's satellite DMB rather than one-seg receiver that is used in Japan.

Korean SK Telecom will be selling device in two flavors: SCH-M490 with 4GB and SCH-M495 with 16GB of internal memory.

Rest of the specs are unchanged and include 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus and image stabilizer, WiFi, GPS, HSDPA, and Bluetooth support. Windows Mobile 6.1 with Samsung's TouchWiz UI is running the show.

Now Samsung if you could bring this baby to Europe and North America, we would love you. Forget mobile TV, we don't need that at the moment, or at least prepare two Omnias: one with and the other one without mobile TV receiver. That would work! ;)

The Fuze, AT&T's version of the HTC Touch Pro, has been anticipated for a release sometime around…the holiday season. But no date has actually been confirmed. So is the Fuze going to play the Bold card by being delayed for months and months on end? We say not likely this time.

Without naming the source, we have word that we should expect the Fuze to come out sometime this week.

It should be emphasized that this is all speculation until we hear official word, as always, but it is refreshing to hear that we can for sure expect this hot device to come out in time for Thanksgiving deals.

We will keep you posted on all the latest updates on the release, hopefully in the next few days we can say "we told you so", and you'll be seeing a much-welcomed successor to the AT&T Tilt.

Sprint customers will be overjoyed at the news that the Sprint HTC Touch Pro is now available online! The QWERTY slider can be snapped up at the Sprint site for $299.99 with free shipping and free activation of a new line.

For the $299.99 price tag, I should note that you'll also have to lock-in a 2-year contract. The price includes $180 in 'instant savings' and a $100 mail-in rebate. To qualify for the rebate you'll need to sign up for an 'Everything Plan' or add a Data Premier add-on or PRO Pack add-on to your plan.

The Sprint HTC Touch Pro Features:

  • Full slide-out QWERTY keyboard
  • Windows Mobile 6.1 with touch control
  • Sprint Music Store
  • Sprint TV® enabled
  • GPS enabled
  • Web, email capable
  • Built-in camera
  • Speakerphone
  • Bluetooth
  • External display
  • Memory card slot
  • Voice dialing
  • Broadband speeds where available

Interesting to note here is that the HTC Touch Pro rings in at only $50 more than the Sprint HTC Touch Diamond. Would you rather go for the Diamond at a measly savings of $50? I think most would certainly go for the Touch Pro.

At any rate, this is fantastic news for Sprint customers that have been waiting ever-so-patiently for the HTC Touch Pro to drop. To pick one up for yourself, click here.

Motorola has recently unveiled two new Bluetooth headsets - H270 and H390.

The first of the two, H270 - pictured on the left, is a basic Bluetooth headset sporting a single call/end conversation button and two volume keys. Its battery provides enough power for up to 6 hours of talk and up to 6 days of standby time.

As for the other model, H390, it comes with more powerful battery, adding 2 more hours of talk and 2 days of standby time on top of the battery life of the H270 model. In addition, the H390 also sports a trichromatic LED, which burns with the green color with the charge of the battery. After a while, it goes yellow to finally, after continuous use, turns red, alerting users to recharge the headset…

Greece-based Crazy Soft has released a new game called for multiple smartphone platforms — including Symbian S60 and UIQ, Windows Mobile, Palm OS and BlackBerry. The adventure game sports cartoon-ish graphics we've seen in early PC adventure games from Sierra and Lucas Arts.

As for the storyline, it finds you controlling Zeus who comes back to Earth to save it. Although everything is happening at the classical ancient Greek period (1000-300bc), you can switch ages through a time machine.

Along the way which sees you crossing many islands like Santorini, Delos, Mykonos, Milos, Karpathos and Crete - you'll solve riddles, play mini games, and interact with ancient Greek mythology characters.

It's sounds like tons of fun, especially for younger players who will also learn something about Greek mythology… Here's a link with more information, and from here you can grab the $2 off coupon.

I have to admit, I didn't really have any questions in-mind about the device… I simply want to get my hands on it to see if I like it or not. But if you do have any questions, or simply want to read through the out-of-the-box documentation for the Storm, go ahead and give it a download. The manual covers all of the basics, from using the phone to using the camera, media browser and more. There's even a chapter on the beloved 'BrickBreaker' game that comes standard on all BlackBerry devices. Enjoy!

Very often we find that our iPhone batteries do not last an entire day, calling for multiple charges in some cases.  The iPWR backup battery by Eznex is the perfect solution to this battery problem.  Apple's decision to not include a removable battery on any of their iPhone and iPod products has developed into a need for such a product. The iPWR is a very portable battery backup that is compatible with the iPhone 3G/2G as well as the iPod Touch, Nano, Classic, Shuffle, etc.

Charging your Apple device is easy, just turn on the battery and plug it in.  The iPWR has a few features that other backup batteries do not have. Other backup batteries require you to take off protective cases in order to use them but with the iPWR, you can use it without removing the case. The battery can be charged by micro USB rather than requiring an iPod USB cable. This battery is far more portable and attractive looking than any other we have seen.

We recommend this product to anyone looking for improved battery life. iPWR is perfect for those who are always on the go and need the extra battery life but do not have a chance to plug their device in for a few hours. Other competitors batteries have capacities of 1200mAh (Richardsolo) or 1000mAh (Kensington). Although the capacity of the iPWR is only 50% more than RichardSolo and 80% more than Kensington, power delivered is much more efficient. Compare below the real power delivered to iPhone 3G or original iPhone with the iPWR and its competitors.

1 iPWR battery = 2 Richardsolo batteries
1 iPWR battery = 2.7 Kensington batteries

The iPWR is certified to meet Apple performance standards with a capacity of 1800mAh and output of 5.0V. This product is imprinted with "Works with iPhone" and "Made for iPod". This is the smallest iPhone backup battery with the highest charge capacity that you will find on the market today. An interesting fact about the backup battery is that, unlike other products, it uses true-shutdown circuits that enable it to hold a charge for several months to a year without use. Currently the iPWR is only available in black but white will be available in the future.
