It seems that there’s no letting up as far as touchscreen phones and Samsung are concerned as they’ve just unveiled the W600.It’s got a 3-inch LCD display, 5-megapixel camera with flash,T-DMB, haptic feedback, HSUPA connectivity and measure in at 15.3mm in thickness. No word though on international availability, but it will hit the Korean market as early as this month for roughly ₩800,000 or $600.
While there’s really nothing groundbreaking with what this latest mobile phone from Samsung has to offer, having it enter the local market will surely make the current prices of existing devices a bit more competitive and will eventually lower the cost of older models. It’s either that or the W600 will be marketed as an affordable alternative to the current crop of touchscreen phones.
Whichever the case maybe, the Samsung W600’s appearance and introduction to the diverse international mobile phone market will be most welcome if and when it does happen.
