NEC and Cisco will work together to build a commercial LTE networks for telecommunications operators
Company NEC Corporation and Cisco announced a strategic partnership in the construction of commercial LTE networks to telecom operators. They will work together to deliver a full range of equipment for the construction of provider networks LTE, including wireless networking equipment NEC eNodeB, NEC solutions for the mobile transportation equipment and Cisco ASR 5000 for mobile networks. Thoroughly test their solutions for compatibility in a real and extreme scenarios, NEC and Cisco completed the process of testing equipment and training to build LTE networks in different environments to deliver a variety of mobile broadband services. The company NEC, as a supplier of complete system solutions, has a successful experience in deploying a full-scale Commercial services LTE "Xi" for the Japanese operator NTT DOCOMO. For this project, the company has put absolutely all of the components, from infrastructure to user terminals. Among other achievements NEC in this area can be mentioned the participation in field trials of LTE technology with such customers as SingTel and Telefonica.
